Woodruff being "back" would be great but let's see him go 6 IP, 7 K, 1 BB, 1 ER next week before anointing him

No way you are alone in that thinking. With our offensive prowess, starting Ross against Nola is just asking to dump a great pitching performance right down the drain. We got 'em right where we need them now. We got 2-hit tonight against a Top 5 pitcher. So what. Now we have one going tomorrow.

You think hes got IT mentally? OR is he more comfortable out of the pen?

i think he has the talent of a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick. And with that you have to take chances of whether he has "IT" mentally or not. We won't make Omaha without him pitching big innings for us- so you have to roll the dice
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

I assume Woodruff had a good game coming in relief? Guys, I love the witty banter regarding the game but if you could please put the inning and score after every half inning so we can tell what the score is and what inning it is. Couldn't watch the game nor hear the game tonight. Other then that, thanks for the game thread!

This is how I think also. I don't claim to know half as much as some of our regular baseball posters, but I know that we cannot hit and we were not going to beat Nola regardless. I thought it would have been a waste to pitch Ross against him. Now we will win game 2 and have a chance to take the series. Unless Woody is back completely, I wouldn't waste Ross against another ace this year, until the post season.

I agree. The baseball threads are much better when you or Cadaver do them. Will does a decent job but always gets sucked into childish banter. This is the best website on the internet for all things MSU, but the game threads could be better. Football threads are way better than these baseball threads have been lately.

Between me or Cadaver doing the threads, I choose Cadaver after all he is undefeated doing the threads. Not that I am superstitious or anything.

This defeats the whole purpose of a game thread...
