    I don't know many position coaches that can overcome being the only returning defensive staff member on a team that sucked and replaced virtually all of its coaches.

    This cycle probably isn't going to go well defensively. We are going to struggle there. Give the man some grace because I'm not sure what you want him to do to overcome how bad we were this year.

    He wasn?t bringing guys in over the summer. It?d be one thing if he was just here for 60 days, he hasn?t. This was a deep DL class in state and Golding is making Turner look like a chump with the DL class he has assembled.

    Does that surprise you that a guy that was Saban's defensive coordinator is recruiting well at Ole Miss?

    Golding's coaching ability was never a concern. His ability to recruit was. And you take a 10-2 Ole Miss team with Golding against a 5-7 MSU that retained one defensive coach and you've got a recipe for not great things.

    Blame Arnett. Guy was the DC and then became head coach and we lost ground with defensive guys.

    Are we completely out of it for Echoles?

    He is the best DL in the MS/AL all star game. There was some talk that we had a shot with him.

    I would think that if we wanted Foster we could push and probably get him. He's committed to Baylor and it doesn't look like we've recruited him very much.

    The fact that Hill said we barely were recruiting him under the last coaching staff says a lot.

    Makes me wonder how hard we tried on guys like Kamarion Franklin?
