It doesn't change for him. He's already used 3 years of his eligibility. He could ask for an additional redshirt year to have 2 to play 1, might not get it though since 2020 was already a redshirt year for him.

Yeah, but he didn't RS in 2021, i would agree he has two more years if he had RS in 2021. He played in 2021, 2022, and 2023. So he gets one more year to play.

Tommy Pharr was incredible, came in as a running QB but turned into a really good passer with a so so OL but really good receivers. One of my favorite players.

I'll preface by saying I have no inside info, however Shapen is quality enough to not come somewhere like State to be the back up. We've all been State fans long enough to see that kind of writing on the wall.
