5 bowl slots left.
JMU, JSU, Minny ahead of us. So we can only afford one loss.
Six games:
USF Charlotte
Colorado St Hawai'I
Navy Army (yes it could come down to we get in over Army if they win but Navy gets in over us if they win)
South Carolina Clemson
Cal UCLA
Florida FSU

I understand it that Navy had to win today. You have to have your 6 wins by the time bowl announcements come out next weekend. The bowls aren't going to wait or make other teams wait.

Florida State is in trouble without their QB.

Root against the first listed team. Need 4 of 5 to lose.
This window is
Usce vs Clemson
Fla vs FSU
USF vs Charlotte
The late window is
Cal at UCLA
Col St at Hawaii

Florida St is not the same team without Travis. If they come back and win close, I'm not sure I put them as a top 4 team

The way I understand it is that it would be a "Navy OR" situation if it's a 5 win team or JMU / JSU. So let's just go 5 for 5 tonight and not worry about it.

I don't think Washington will be there in the end. Not a top four team in my opinion.

Where did you see this, because it's the opposite of the three articles I read one of them being the official Navy football page from The Annapolis Capital Gazette

Precedent the last time it happened, but my memory was wrong on the details. UCLA was 6-6 but didn't have a tie-in.
The 2009 edition of the EagleBank Bowl was originally to match Army and the eighth team selected from the ACC.[3] Army finished the regular season at 5–7 after failing to defeat rival Navy to become bowl eligible. Only seven teams from the ACC finished with bowl-qualifying regular season records (6–6 or better.)
If you have something that official sounding from Navy itself then that feels more finite. But I'd hate to have the rug pulled out from under us.

Charlotte not doing us any favors. It's going to come down to the other 4.

That was a loooooong time ago. Totally different now. However, I could still see the NCAA forcing a bowl to wait for them

USA Today reports that Navy is out: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...e/71648714007/
So we need Florida State and Clemson to hold on, and then UCLA and Hawaii to win tonight, and if all of that happens, we've somehow backed our way in.
