The more I think about it, the more I like Sumrall. I just can't get excited about Lebby. His past definitely makes me uncomfortable.
There's someone in my head but its not me.

I just don?t get the love for Fritz other than he has years of HC experience. Most of his coaching record is meh

    Somebody sell me on Fritz

We have an agreement with someone at least in principle but it's a coaching search. You have to have fall back options to pivot quickly. Lebby had a face to face with us yesterday but that's the best information I have, he is a fall back option. If I end up being wrong, I will eat it. But that's what I'm told.

I'm hearing good things too. Selmon knows this hire will make or break his tenure here. He ain't stupid enough to settle

It’s prob Odom who would’ve recruited better at Missouri if the president there hadn’t ostracized himself from every big donor the University ever had during that time.

You've been told by someone you trust we have an agreement with someone?

They've got the chance to make a good hire but it'll probably one of the guys we've heard already and none are impressive options or recharge a dead program.
Obviously. Look at the current state of the team.

Lebby is better than three sitting head coaches?

C'mon man, put the pre-Thanksgiving meal cocktails down.

Better? That's hard to say... but the other guys are boring as hell and have 7 wins as a ceiling.... Lebby could be worse, but at least he's got the attitude and offense to generate excitement and a higher ceiling....

That said, he's not in my top 5 (at least), but we're debating the bottom of the barrel hires here...

Odom bringing his OC from UNLV is better than hiring Lebby as head coach. We need an experienced head coach. Lebby ain't it.

I?ll just say this?the people I know, who have coached on SEC teams, say that Sumrall, Chadwell, Odom, Elko would be the best options going forward. Said Fritz would be if he were younger. Lebby would be a trainwreck with no idea of what he?s doing or what?s going on. But by all means go with a bump and giggle offense. Hope you like an offense that?s only bubble screens, direct snaps, jet sweeps over and over again.

I'd agree on that about Odom if he we're bringing his OC, but everything I've heard is that he's not and that the OC will either be at Dan diego St or UNLV as HC.

An agreement but not a LOU yet unless it was done late last night, as far as I know.

Are these the same boosters that supposedly got the entire offensive staff hired before we even hired an OC? Not sure how anyone could put much blame on Barbay when he had zero say in his offensive assistant coaches.
