Kiffin coached a USC on probation in his first 2 years. And he still won 10 games. They were docked 30 scholarships over three years.
He was fired on the tarmac after getting thumped by Arizona State. Levels of severity can be debated, but this is not how successful coaches end their tenure with a high level program.
