Chiefs
B-b-b-b-but I thought it was only Dak that struggled without having receivers. I thought Mahomes MADE his receivers stars.
Can?t wait to hear Stephen A and the talking heads give excuses for Patty

I enjoyed that immensely. Kelce and Boy Wonder take the L. And Chris Jones is gonna get paid.

He was already getting paid and under contract. But yes I know.....contracts mean nothing these days.

Pretty hot take that Mahomes struggled.... he was throwing dimes that kept getting dropped.

I usually don't watch Nfl games but I'm a "Mahomes, Chris Jones and Andy Reid fan". Mahomes is the Offense for the Chiefs, his receivers dropped several passes and some late in the game were costly.
They missed Jones, he will be in the HOF one day, I'd pay him what he is worth. As far as holding out, one of the reason I don't like professional sports any longer, just wait till we start seeing college players holding out one day. Oh wait.....they can tranfer w/o sitting.

With Chris Jones on the field the Chiefs are 2nd in the NFL in QB Pressure %. Without him on the field they are 28th.
That under 11.5 season total for the Chiefs is looking good right now. They have nobody to throw to outside of Kelce.

This is what you get when you pay your QB half a billion. I know they have restructured his contract every year but it still takes its toll.
This is the main reason I always respected Brady even though I hated him. He never took the big contract was always kinda Paid middle of the pack money. The team came first and they always had a good team.
These players might be worth the money on the hold out but it makes you look super selfish and not a team player. Also how many players fizzle out after they have their big holdout? A lot of them, you hear about them for a season or two after their holdout and then they either leave the league or become middle of the pack. Call it apathy or getting worn out. Neither are good for the player or the sport.

Yeah if you watched the disaster that was Kadarius Toney and friends, hard to pin this one on Mahomes.
Also, Detroit is a dang good football team. They finished the year red hot last year but just missed the playoffs. They have a great chance to win their division for the first time in forever this year.

Contracts in the NFL mean next to nothing. Seriously, nature of a contract that can be totally useless one play after it signed and the realities of the salary cap.

I really like their Coach, Cambell seems to have the "it factor".

And how many of Dak?s interceptions were dimes that didn?t get caught and instead tipped up? Yet everyone was on him for his high number of interceptions.

That's what bothers me the most

If the Chiefs hadn't given Maholms so much of their salary cap $, they might not have a make shift O line with outcasts from teams like Tampa Bay, same with their Receiver Corps. This is an issue with many teams in the overpaid QB NFL. I also detest how they are protected vs. RB's. If they choose to take off and run, they should then be under the same rules as a RB and not allowed to slide which is unfair to the D. However, so much $ is tied up in them vs. the majority of others on the team, they must be protected. Catch 22. I watched last night, but seldom watch an entire NFL game unless Dak is playing and I used to hate the Cowboys and will again when Dak is no longer with them. I'm am glad the Chiefs lost.
