So do I understand this correctly? We sold out the so-called season tickets we printed. A number that is far short of the actual capacity. Seems a little disingenuous if that's the case. Meaning we would print more if we thought we could sell them.

How are those "lounges" working out? A 2K reduction in capacity to get them seems a little ... odd. Are they being used?

Definitely an improvement over empty bleacher seats, which is all those end sections amounted to for years.

We need to reduce capacity about 5k more. Get it to 55k with all chairback, TVs everywhere, and an awning (preferably retractable) that provides shade like Oregon has. Make the experience better.

I think that they are being sold out pretty easily and they make more money on them than just regular upper deck seats. If it were me, I would do the same to the East upper deck, chairback the lower bowl, add premium boxes to the west side, and bowl in the South EZ with premium areas. All of this would decrease capacity and increase income.

MLB, NFL and NBA have all substantial downsized attendance while increasing comforts and "experiences". They realized a while ago that selling fewer seat priced at a premium makes them more money. Even shitty teams have done it.
You will still have a few schools like Michigan, Penn State, and Notre Dame who will cling to their large stadiums - but you will see more and more places facilities that are driven around those who can afford it vs. places scrambling to fill the upper deck with cheap prices.
"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""
