Tyler Carter. 6'6 250 lb 88 3* from Vicksburg.
This is my favorite commit so far. I truly believe he has more NFL potential of any of them. And we have some good ones

Shows as unranked on the composite so he actually brought our average down.
Fun times. Can't wait for the expert rankings to give him a high 3* because he committed to an SEC school. Kid's film is phenomenal and measurables are there. Haven't researched enough of the talent he was going against, but if it's halfway decent then it could be a late riser commit that we'll have to work to fend off some serious offers.

247 is the only service to rank him. They have him ranked as a 88 which is a high 3*. Rivals and ESPN will have him ranked after more film comes out. The staff jump on him early cause they believe his is going to blow up. See Jonathan Davis from last year

You all do know that these rankings are only on the kids that go to these camps right? If a kid is top 10 it does not mean top 10 nationally. It literally means top 10 of 247 camp attendees. Don?t get hung up on the star rankings, there are tons of NFL talent guys who never received a star because they never went to ratings camps.

Yes it is correct. 247 rankings come from camp rankings whether that be 247, Rivals, Scout etc..no exposure camps usually mean No rankings. You can get rankings off of offers alone but that normally doesn’t happen. You get offers by attending Big Dawg camp or the equivalent at other schools. Star raters are not normally at those type camps. Money grab…..

My nephew is going through this process as we speak. He was literally told ?if you want a star ranking, you have to go to this camp at this time.?

247 does a composite of either their own camps or the ratings from about 2-3 other sources/camps. If a kid does not attend an exposure camp early on, he does not normally get seen by people who rate stars. So yes, you have to attend certain events or have someone very well connected in your corner.

Rivals has now already ranked him and state jumped Ole Miss in the overall rankings cause of it.
Next is on3 and espn to do the same. Like I said though, these guys typically just see SEC commit and blanket 3*. Carter's film looks like a high 4* to me. He's got a huge ceiling imo.

If Turner is happier than a teenage girl dating the QB, then Carter has a chance to be great. Turner was a huge get for the staff. Good as it gets.
