Not sure if he has the full authority. But if he does I'd bet he will. And honestly Keenum should go all in with Zac and let him do what he wants.

Why would he not have the authority?

I'm not sure we are the more talented team. Other than Cade Smith, we don't seem to have very reliable pitchers. You would think 11 runs should be enough to win.

You've never seen a person in a director level position that did not have full authority to make unilateral decisions?

Enema and Hardin could give up 11 in an inning if you just let them go.

That's OK. I'm sure enough for both of us.

7 runs in the first 3 innings should have been enough to win.

We are the only team in the SEC to blow a 7 run lead and we've done it twice

He is the AD and is responsible for the success or failure of our athletic programs. So he has the authority to make coaching changes if he sees it is needed to benefit and make our athletic programs successful. Now money, etc, can be a factor but he has the authority. If he didn't have the authority, then I highly doubt he would have accepted our offer. I think a factor that could make it a more difficult decision is that Lemonis was our (only) coach who won a college world series, although we have regressed since then.

Yeah that's the nice MBA textbook principle.

Why would anyone take the job without full authority? Why would we want to hire a guy that would allow himself to be hired without full authority? Seems like the person who would allow that needs to go as well.

Hardin could. Dude never attempted to throw a strike and miss squaring up a barrel in each and every pitch he has thrown.

They tend not to share that in the interview. Understatedly he said.
