The errors are killing me almost as much as the walks. We've got to do a better job against runners too.

Yep and everyone's starting to figure out their role and the lineup is deep. Cutout walks and errors and we can be dangerous. Kids have definitely showed they have some stones the last 3 games!

Actually Larry's been pretty good, now lane and Alford been a different story but Alford starting to play better and I guess Lanes decided to stop playing defense and start hitting lol

As y'all know I am not a fan of Foxhall.

That said the umpire behind the plate was trash tonight. Typical attention whore that gets drawn into that profession for some reason.

Honestly watching that guy call the game I actually lost all concept of what was a strike and what wasn't, and I'm only half kidding. Guy was brutal.

The defense was bad. Too many walks again- even though yes the umpire was trash.

Every time we made an unforced error they scored. I think the difference was ultimately we have more power and a better lineup from 1-9 than them- we gave them most of their runs. We earned most of ours with hits. Ledbetter's triple, Larry's home run, Alford had a big hit, Forsythe had a big night at the plate and Hines got the game winning sac fly. We outhit them and did way more damage in general.

All I really ask out of an umpire in consistency. That's how umpires ruin games because then no one- the pitcher nor the hitter know what the strike zone is. It makes it sloppy. And then he had that inning- I think the 7th where he got upset at Lemonis or someone and just decided to strike all of our guys out- including one guy on strike 2. Lemonis gave him what he wanted- an argument and blue got to warn the dugout and look important.

Usm was an all or nothing team last year at the plate, they hit a lot of hrs but they also struckout a ton. Not a lot of contact hitters and a bunch of low averages. Looks like same team this year but they don't have the pitching they had last year.
