Can't you play the game another way? Just tell your coaches that if you don't get this deal by January 13th you're gone. Maybe that's what he did and he didn't get it. But this kind of crap hitting the news is a major turnoff for many even if he reverses his decision.
He's got a lot of people in his ear and I'm sure they're wanting to get theirs too.
