I just think he may be more comfortable at 3rd. He looked bad at SS as a freshman as well. Was he tight then too? Maybe he's just always tight when playing that position.

Britton playing 3rd and batting .260 this year would make us a much better team. He will lock down 3rd defensively

I would too- but I know he can hit .260...and that would be good enough for what he brings defensively. Anything past that is gravy

Cohen seems to teach against it.
That actually seems to be a popular movement around baseball altogether. I don't know the reasons sabermetrically and haven't cared enough to research it, but have noticed the approach throughout MLB organizations in particular...
