I would say three things. One, If there are only 20 spots per school each year, you're not going to be getting robbed of players near as much. LSU wouldn't have room for Zavion, for example. You might lose 2-3, but not 10-12.
Two, it forces schools to spend their NIL collective monies on retaining players, not buying new players.
Three, if you're losing the Reed Buoys of the world to lower level schools, you should suffer from that because that is a recruiting miss and roster mismanagement.
