Thread: Dish Officially Adds SECNetwork...

    Anyone know if the Dish contract is exclusive, like the DirectTV is for the NFL
    ticket? If so, I've got to go ahead and make the switch.

    I wouldn't think so since UVerse is officially carrying it as well.

    In the end, all major carriers will have it, there is way too much $$$ not to.

    No.

    If the dish contract was "exclusive", the network would only be worth about $100million per year total with the given pricing structure. ESPN takes half -- and the rest is split 15 ways. So, it would only be worth $3mil/team in that regard...

    It's going to end up being worth $20mil+ per year per team... probably from very early on...

    good point. and I highly doubt ESPN will ever find itself in a position where it needs to enter an exclusive contract. With that out of the way, there's zero need to worry about who's going to pick it up. Everyone will, or they'll be dealt a swift death blow across a quarter of the country.
