Carskadon just tweets Mich St players in LFL ringing cowbells
Again. Baseball at its finest. Nobody else comes close.

The pics are outstanding
but I wish he would get some quotes from the (other MSU) players. Would love to hear what they say about the experience.

why don't our beat writers cover this and interview the opposing players about the atmosphere?

Good damn question. Too busy chasing twitter for "real" stories.

They were, and it was awesome. I talked to one of their pitchers, and he said that they had begged their coach after the
game to come out to the outfield for a while to see what it was really like. One of the coaches escorted the group to make
sure that they didn't get into any trouble, or "come back drunk". The player I talked to couldn't say enough about how cool the lounge was and how much he wished Michigan State had something like it. They started grabbing cowbells and ringing them for
double plays and strike outs, and seemed to have a great time.
We hung out with several Michigan State parents in the lounge Friday night, including the right fielder's dad. We were still giving ole Jimmy some good natured hell even with his dad there. His dad thought it was hilarious. During the 9th inning of their game against EIU today, he (their right fielder) ran out and high-fived most of the right field hecklers. He was among those who came out and ate during our game.
We hung out with several of the Mount St. Mary's parents Tuesday and Wednesday night. They were great people and discussed coming back for SBW, or a regional if we host, just to hang out with us. I'm now rooting for MSM and MSU to win their
conferences this season.
It's been an absolutely wonderful week of baseball and making new friends. This is what makes Mississippi State University baseball and Dudy Noble Field so special. It's wonderful and really amazing that our competitors on the field leave as friends and fans of our program.
THIS is our tradition, and it MUST be protected.
