They should really wait and allow the ump to make the call. I'd swear umps would make calls at times just because he felt showed up, regardless it be the batter or pitcher or catcher.

I'm not saying fire the guy, but I gave him all the credit last year, and I'm giving him all the credit this year too. I don't understand how some can credit him for last year, and then completely absolve him for this total train wreck.
