This was a great bounce back after getting pantsed the first 2 games. Avoiding the sweep was a must. Hancock made key plays today. Need a few more vets to start stepping up in key situations.

So what's the story so far on the classes Lemonis has signed since inking with us? Were all these kids already committed before Lemonis got here and he just went ahead and honored our offer or were changes made? Doesn't Lemonis bear some responsibility for these freshmen and sophs not ready to play?

No, we need to flush Friday and sell out for Saturday and Sunday. I?m not sure what the combination for that is but burning Preston on Friday against a true 1st round stopper every weekend will make it difficult to get to that 15 wins we need to ensure making a regional.

If we can just get this team to post season you never know what will happen.

    2017 Class - Cohen & Cannizarro - Westburg (#262), Foscue, Tanner Allen (#176), Rowdey
    2018 Class - Cohen & Cannizarro - Ginn (#24), Hancock (#277), MacLeod, B Smith
    2019 Class - Cohen & Cannizarro & Lemonis - Sims (#48), Tanner (#79), Bednar (#139), Kam (#214), Hunt (#267), Rokose (#279)
    2020 Class - Lemonis - Clark (#73), Fristoe (#87), Tepper (#98), C Smith (#115), Forsythe
    2021 Class - Lemonis - Downs (#107), Kohn (#148), Alford (#223)
    2022 Class - Lemonis - Williams (#50), Dakota (#65), Highfill (#70)

New stadium, multiple Supers, and recruiter coach - recruiting looks not really better. 2017 and 2019 was the engine for the 2021 championship.

It does not look like Lemonis out-recruits Cohen. 2023 looks solid with position players, but the highest ranked pitcher is a fake recruit, IMG Academy kid.

Landon Sims says that Cannizzaro recruited him in this old interview. Bednar committed in 2018.

Has Flushing Friday's ever been a successful strategy?

I’m not sure we’ve ever had to but how many Fridays are we gonna win in this league with our lineup? Generating a 2nd season is the goal now and I think flushing Friday gives us the best opportunity for that.

If you happen to score a bunch of runs on a given Friday then adjust to your better arms to preserve that win.

Cade has to stay on Sunday's. He'll be wasted on Friday because we won't score anyway.

You can't outwardly Flush Friday. But that's probably what the coaches did by saving Auger for Sunday. Saturday was also flushed with Stinnett and Tullar giving up 10 in 4 innings.

Has this been addressed, no Pico Kohn or B Smith this weekend.

Think Pico might be out next Starter. There was a reason he started last weeks game.

You have to admire the brilliance of the key board coaches and athletic directors. Remember hind sight is always 20/20 and foresight is sometimes a best guess.
