Vaccinations prepare your body for the virus. Every single vaccination in the entire world, ever developed works exactly the same way. From Polio, smallpox, HPV, to the flu. None of these vaccines keep you from getting the virus, never has. It does allow your body to build up defenses. It allows your body to immediately attack the virus upon it entering your system. It allows your body to snuff it out hopefully before it mutates into something your immune system cannot recognize.

Vaccines never stop you from spreading it, but they do lessen the time you are potentially a carrier and lessen the viral load potential depending on variant.
Vaccines never stop you from getting the virus, but they do lessen the time it takes your body to respond.
Vaccines do not guarantee you will not go to the hospital, but it does lessen the levels of response your immune system has to engage to defeat it. Cytostorms and the damage they cause to both your immune system and your own healthy cells is an issue that is avoided with vaccines.
Boosters, help recharge your response over time due to waining protection.

I have no idea how people have become entrenched in their hesitation to a simple vaccine that has been given 8.66 billion times, but damn people. Your choice does not have to define you forever. These are simple, simple, simple medical facts. The anecdotal stories about bullshit reactions and whatever are statistically irrelevant compared to the reality that this virus can kill you at a much higher statistical rate. It is very simple math here.

Maybe people have decided that they have made a decision and come hell or high water, they are right regardless of the mountain of evidence to the contrary. I think this has become about a person's identification they have chosen.

Like I said, my 8 year old gets it. My 95 year old grandma gets it. Everyone else, it worries me.
