Jett Johnson
Who had Jett Johnson leading the team in tackles after 9 games? I didn?t see that coming.

He's half our defense

We have a history of finding diamonds in the rough. He?s played extremely well for us.
-
He's a little like Beniquez Brown, plays above his physical abilities, but just makes plays.

Everyone wants to be a beast...until its time to do what beasts do.

Cam Lawrence/Richie Brown/Paul Lacoste clone. Love the way Jett gets after it!

Hey I had Brule' pegged as a all SEC LB preseason. But JJ has just blown everyone out with his. Reminds me of a Rusty Martin, Rip.

He's not on Lacoste level yet but he's more physical than Cam and Richie Brown.

Yeah I loved the way Lacoste played, he was one of my favorites.

Maybe but Brown was a 4 star recruit.
Jet was not much on radar was he? He has played well. How does a guy like that stay in the background until season starts?

I would say Jett is a good example of a smart player who mentally knows the tipoffs and reads that put him in the right spot to make the play almost every time. This is actually more important than speed or quickness IMO, he’s also a big SOB
-
Good thing he is quick though. Could you imagine being named Jett and being slow?
There?s my daughter, Beauty.
Where?
That ugly one over there.

Lacoste was awesome. And then he tried to get me to join his boot camp class which I thought was pretty cool.

Agree. Jett makes me think of a football version of the 6 foot guy that out rebounds the giants down low in a basketball game, simply bc he's smart, has good instincts, plays the angles, and is physical.
