We lose Borchert and Cunningham and gain 2 not very highly thought of redshirts and 3 not very highly thought of recruits. We don't have a single player on the team that can shoot worth a shit from anywhere on the floor(Borchert I thought but he STUNK it up tonight), and they basically quit in the 2nd half. I want Ray to succeed too, but he's on a slippery ass slope with this team right now. 6 losses in a row. A total meltdown at home. How will the players react?
Forget Stans he is gone, it is all on Ray.

That's just not true. But Ray better do better next year, or he won't get that fourth year. It's games like this one that cause people to get a quick trigger.

Haha, it wouldn't be funny if it wadn't true. I bet there is 5 guys on campus that could give our team a good game right now. Not saying they would win, but would play em tough.

It's gonna be bad when Stansbury starts handling us regularly at Auburn. I was on the boat to let him go, but I have since changed that thought process. He at least put an exciting brand on the court.
The truth is a LOT of folks that were OK with letting Stans go may have had a different opinion if SS had told us he was going to hire a no-name assistant with ZERO recruiting ties to the area. We could have hired a Butch Pierre or a Robert Kirby and at least stayed up in the recruiting game. When your current roster gets gutted and you "need time" to develop recruiting ties and relationships that's a recipe for a LONG rebuild.

Agree 100% with this.

Florida and UK are the only ones who really give a shit about hoops. Times have changed, hoops around here is just not going to return to prominence and I frankly couldn't care less. I'm glad Stans is gone because of the embarrassment factor. Do you REALLY think Bama, Auburn, etc. are upset about their hoops programs?
As long as we aren't causing ourselves public embarrassment and shame I am A-OK with the suck at hoops. Pump it all into the baseball stadium and football budgets please Scott. I hold nothing against you for hoops just like I don't give a shit if we have a bad volleyball program.
Is this the worst post ever? It's gotta be in the conversation.
