Alright that makes two of us. Whose getting on board with us? It's February. We can make this hire. Just can't wait till after next year. Pearl will be gone by then. Sorry the timing sucks but I'm not sorry.

We had 24 points at the 9:54 mark of the 1st half. We scored 31 points the next 30 minutes. There should not even be a post game press conference. Just put a sign up that says "TOO EMBARASSED TO SHOW OUR FACES!!" and move on.
The one positive, this loss makes the Bears resume look even worse!

First of all, I'm just as frustrated as anyone that watched that game. But, I sure as hell don't want Stansbury underachieving with incredibly talented teams back. This team is still very young and dealing with depth issues. Losing Steele, Lewis, and Applewhite really hurt. Also, we don't have a real leader on the team or a really good shooter. This team has just hit their wall.

Wilson had dental work done recently and was having migranes. He wasn't available for the game tonight

Tonight we underachieved with lesser talent than Stans had. I'd much rather under achieve and win than underachieve and get blown out by a mediocre team at home. I don't want Stans back, but I want some signs of life in our basketball program. We lose Borchert and Cunningham and gain 2 not very highly thought of redshirts and 3 not very highly thought of recruits. We don't have a single player on the team that can shoot worth a shit from anywhere on the floor(Borchert I thought but he STUNK it up tonight), and they basically quit in the 2nd half. I want Ray to succeed too, but he's on a slippery ass slope with this team right now. 6 losses in a row. A total meltdown at home. How will the players react?

It's sad when as a student I can go to the Sanderson during 5 on 5 intramural season and see more exciting basketball then what we put on the floor.
It's gonna be bad when Stansbury starts handling us regularly at Auburn. I was on the boat to let him go, but I have since changed that thought process. He at least put an exciting brand on the court.

I didn't say we were good? This team just lacks a lot of essentials that good teams have.

Nothing personal and wasn't really directed at you I just quoted your post.

It's all good... I'm just looking at the overall picture. Don't get me wrong, I'm not happy about the game tonight. I think our shooting coach has to get fired after this year. I mean I could do the same job he does for half of the money. Also, I heard somewhere that we don't even practice in the new practice facility. We practice in the Hump.

A shooting coach in college gets to work with players that already have their shooting mechanics that they are going to have. If the coach starts with shit, he's gonna still have shit! Although I will say that Fred Thomas shot the ball better his senior season in high school than his freshman year, and better his freshman year than his sophomore year. So, maybe you have something there. We sure can't throw it in the ocean from outside of it seems 2 feet and Hell those aren't a given.

We must of lost a 5 v 5 in the Sanderson to Starkville High for the rights to the IPF. And firing the shooting coach means firing thin air. We don't employ a shooting coach. How dumb is that?

We don't have a shooting coach???? If this is true, then we are setting ourselves up for failure.
