Well there's always room for improvement, but we swung the bats well all weekend, today was kind of feast or famine, but all in all a very good effort.

Single digit runs vs this pitching in two of three games is bad. We had one game we lit up the pitching. One we were up and down. One we stunk. It's the signature of a Gotro team- Inconsistency. I really wish he had taken the Rice job.

We were ok on offense, but that?s kind of what we are. We aren?t going to post 10 runs very often.

Sims was starting to lose some effectiveness. 3 innings probably is about the max we can use him in one outing right now and expect him to be lights out. Right now I just don't see him moving to a starting role next year. I don't think he is what he is as a starter.

If we had opened with Sims for 3 and brought in Harding, this game wouldn't have been close. Doubt that was ever considered though.

Aside from the double, those last 2 ground balls were hit on the button. We were fortunate they went right at fielders and we actually made the plays. First 2 innings they couldn't touch him.
