May I ask how today was an example of us playing entitled? I absolutely think there was some of that in the Mizzou series, we were bad defensively and struggled badly with pitch command. I think we just assumed that all we had to do was throw it in the general direction of the plate and Mizzou would get themselves out. But I don't really know how today was an example of any kind of entitlement. We experimented with our starting pitching and it didn't work, they just simply hit him hard. Meanwhile Florida's best starter had a good day himself. Neither of those things had anything to do with us playing entitled or not caring enough.

I think fans have a tendency to assume that a blowout loss means we didn't even try. That's lazy logic sometimes and I don't really think it's the case here, I think we just took one on the chin as everybody does on occasion, even the elite teams.

They took it to us early and we were staring down a 9-1 deficit in game one of a double elimination tournament. Them jumping out to that lead didn't have anything to do with us playing entitled, they just beat around a struggling pitcher. At a certain point there's a little bit of self preservation required. It's why you throw Cerantola and Hunt today and not Harding or Sims.
