Personally, I always saw Schilling as a good not great pitcher. He had three dominant season - which I would suspect were enhanced as pitchers tend not to get better at 34. The one thing he had going for him is that he was money in the post season.
Frankly, if Dale Murphy can't get in, Schilling shouldn't either.
