Another Good Leach Article
Speaks on the simplicity of the air raid.
The key quote in the article I believe comes from Mumme who says ?the air raid will always work as long as the offensive line can block the defensive front?
While I think Leach will recruit better skill players than he?s ever had at MSU, I think the biggest difference will be the talent level on the OL. He?s about to have real tackles that he?s never had and that makes the offense absolutely deadly

Just out of curiosity, are Leach and Mumme still friends?

It's almost like Vince Lombardi offenses at Green Bay accept using the pass instead of the run. Just a few plays but you run them over and over and over until you can execute them perfectly. Difference between elite and good is execution.

The magic of the pulling guard!
"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""

Danielson actually said something intelligent the other day when he compared the air raid to a reverse wishbone.
It's a good comparison as it speaks to 1. The simplicity of the offense and 2. How you keep running the same stuff over and over.

The article is premium content. Would be nice for a copy/paste or at least the cliff notes if you're gonna start a thread about it.

Jerry Kramer and Fuzzy Thurston! I read Kramer's book Distant Replay when I was a kid back in the 70's. Was a great read and gave real insight into those Packers teams and Lombardi.

Why didn't Mumme work out at Jackson State?
Seems that simple and reps should've been effective there.

Instant Replay was the first real book that I ever read, when I was about 8. I still remember the book and how dominant the Packers were.

It's been said before by Leach himself.
