The flag will eventually change, but it wont be by people trying to force it by bayonet diplomacy.

I dont recall the NCAA winning many lawsuits. They wont win this one either. I'd sue their ass into the stone ages. They have no say in what a group of citizens decide.

Georgia has Confederate symbols in their flag. Alabama has the cross in theirs as does Florida. Arkansas has an inverted cross. It goes on and on and it never ends.

LSU nickname is the Fighting Tigers from a civil war division. Ole Miss and Rebels are from the civil war. Where does it end. Where does everyone get enough of cleansing the history of this country. Who decides?

I would lawyer up and crush the NCAA and do everyone a service by destroying them as a sports body.

The flag will change, but it wont be at gunpoint
The difference in the confederate flag & the Louisiana Tigers, Missouri Tigers, Georgia Flag, etc is that the confederate flag has been adopted by hate groups & the others have not.

Is that fair? Doesn't really matter.

Let say in 1930, a peaceful country in the South Pacific had a flag with a swastika on it & they never participated in WW2. Would that flag still be acceptable in 1950 even though that country did nothing wrong?

Perhaps the SWJs will attack Georgia's flag in time, but I think that flag was decided on as the perfect balance between being non offensive while also honoring the state's heritage.

Perhaps Mississippi can find the same balance.
