It does help if you are going to fire someone if you have a replacement but the off the field incidents trump that.
That's true in that worst case we can get Hud but when everyone thought Rick Ray would be back and then all of sudden he wasn't, we did have our guy lined up. I still feel pretty confident that we have someone lined up to make this move given making the move at all after only 2 years was somewhat of a 50-50 type deal.

The boosters are the ones that control these moves ultimately. McCready is trash. He's the guy that said that we got what we deserved when Nick got hurt in the Egg Bowl and now DJ Durkin deserves a second chance.

If he screws the bowl game like JoMo did then you can him. It gives you 10 plus days to sign a new coach during a dead period of recruiting and allows the contract to roll into a new year thus lowering the buyout.
JoMo just wasn?t smart enough to see this.
Cohen is either brilliant or very lucky.

McCready can go 17 himself with a rail spike. He is a douche bag.....

At least Cohen made him prove himself on the bowl trip. Let's be honest if we look good and organized during the Music City Bowl I would have been more open to staff changes. Instead as usual a leopard doesn't change his spots.
It was a total cluster after the Egg. The admin can start rebuilding some of the relationships that were damaged when we didn't fire joe by kicking him to the curb now. I look for some serious meetings with some of those folks who felt betrayed after the Egg once they make a change. Let's all hope that we get it done this time or it's gonna be a gazillion times worse

Cohen typically likes to have his guy in place based on the past. Makes me wonder if he kept Napier informed the entire time. Which would explain his lack of interest in other jobs or turning down other jobs.

Yep. We're in the 7th inning with a three run lead. It looks good but it ain't over yet.

Assuming we make a successful change, if the above scenario isn't what Matt Wyatt meant when he said, "Trust your administration," then it needs to be what he SAYS he meant.

Exactly. He's a hack. He gets so pissy at the slight questioning of his journalistic integrity, yet he's openly stated that "his business" (a ****ing fan site) does better when OM is doing better....yup, no bias there...none at all.
In his last tweet, he said "This storyline (just trust me) could be absolutely fascinating moving forward.".....wonder what he means here, because knowing him, it's obviously in reference to something negative directed to us.

I really feel like we have all been thrown off coarse a bit and this was the plan all along

All of those guys sources are ED

Maybe that's also what Rosey meant when he said "Moorhead will be the coach in 2020"
Technically the truth.

Bingo. I've believed something to this effect since The extension was announced. I'm not sure how formal it was or if there were set things but I suspect it was probably along the lines of "don't 17 up". I still haven't watched the bowl game but by all accounts he 17'd up.

I tell ya what.... IF.... IF..... We kept Joe through signing day and a bowl and allowed our guy, Napier, some time to finish his season. Then still end up with Napier next week...... it will be a brilliant played hand of poker. Cohen would deserve a pat on the back
.... and f the douches like McCready ..... We keep the Golden Egg in the midddle of it all.

This is what I posted about earlier. The National guys were getting info as of last night, but waiting on corroboration. Unlike keyboard cowboys, their reputation is what keeps the lights on and the whiskey flowing.

That wasn't his plan but better to be lucky than good.
