I feel this way at times as well as it's certainly good for your recruiting ranking and you keep them away from your competitors, but I'm not sure it helps you win games. You win games with buy in not trickery

Read.
I said works out I didn't say happy kids. The kids get a reality check when they realize their talent is equal to everyone else's and they have to work just to be recognized. I played football in the SEC and been apart of the recruiting process so I'd know more than you would on the subject.

With the four game redshirt rule we're dumb if we don't play them against the I-AA opponent at least.

Hell, you could tell them you are going to feature them as a starter...... for those four games.

Be up front with the player a little, but at the same time sell them what is technically possible.
Everyone else is.

It's a big difference on selling opportunity & lying. You guys are selling these kids short on how smart they are. The vast majority of these kids can see & read right through lies & BS.

Obviously a long ways to go but Deion Smith is ranked 79 in his class by 247 composite.

Plenty do. If I'm a WR or QB OM is still a very appealing destination. They make their recruiting living off those positions. It's the main reason also why their roster is so out of wack.

Why would you say that given the fact that NOW they are running a Rich Rodriguez offense that is going to be run first spread option? That's the kind of thing I am talking about. Tobias Singleton and Nick Brassell who to me were slot WR's going to Ole Miss to play for Houston Nutt and his pro-style/I-formation offense vs. Dan power spread which did feature slot receivers more.
If you are a QB or a WR RIGHT NOW MSU and Joe's offense is a better fit you. Unless you are a Pat White style QB. And yes, I do agree that we are seeing that with players like Will Rogers, Tulu, Deion Jones from Provine and probably E Jai Mason. I get that. But it's the guys like Mingo that confuse me. I think Rich Rod only threw the ball about 22% of the time at Arizona.

They can sell their reputation until they prove they aren't that anymore. These kids don't know Pat White or Denard Robinson but they moncrief, Treadwell, DK, AJ, etc. The same way JoeMo offenseis a better fit but we also need/have to show it on the field to fully take advantage of it in recruiting.

I think there's a couple kids who could but I don't think it's a situation where anyone is coming in 100% sure a Commit is coming.
