He’s been this bad since he’s been at first. This is the first time half the balls in a game have gone his way. He really should be a DH second baseman or an outfielder.

It's not like he's been doing anything at the plate. Swings at anything, doesn't walk, and doesn't get hits. Take away the opening series and he's 21/99, which is .212, with 1 HR. That's a pretty consistent under performance to be in the lineup at all , much less the 3 hole. I know hatcher looks bad vs righties but he's still hit better than that and I know his D can't be worse

At the very least put him in the 8 hole. Right now the 1-6 is: .397, .377, .212, .359, .354, .346. One of those is not like the others. Stick Mac in the 2 hole and move Westy to the 3 hole and Foscue to the 4, Rowdy 5, Skelton 6, Hatcher 7, then Allen and Halter. If that's too many righties in a row then put Rowdy in the 2 hole
