So Allen is too lazt to take as many steps off of first as he should, costs us an out. Then Halter is too incompetent to throw the ball 15 feet. Fix either one and it's 0-0. Defense is a pretty big liability.
We've gotta put Hatcher at 1b and let Allen DH. 1) Hatcher has to be better than this defensively, 2) Hatcher is the better hitter right now

Time for Halter or Hatcher at 1st with Landon at 2nd
This defense is an atrocity
-
As much as I like this team, this is maybe the shakiest infield I can remember us having in a long time. We seem to rarely be in the right position and we just don't make plays. One of the reasons we have so few double plays. Ginn was too late getting to first and I guess was trying to find the base. Halter's throw was fine.

Halter made a mistake but he was throwing to a moving target after bare handing the ball. Tough play
CAN'T PUT A SADDLE ON A MUSTANG
Quit Your Bi$&$&?!, He's Not Going to Run the Ball More

The way I saw it that was on Ginn.

Now there's something that doesn't happen

JW just took two balls that were called strikes.

nah, Halter threw it behind him. Gotta remember Ginn is moving toward first and Halter threw it to the home plate side of the bag. I just don't get how that was ruled a hit and an error.

Ginn was late which was why he was still trying to get to first but the ball went right over his elbow.

You're right. Ball should have arrived at Ginn on first base, not a stretch play.

I never count this MSU squad out, but you just can't spot a team the caliber of LSU 3 runs.
-
-
Their freshman struck out the side. Ours gave up three runs. Will it hold up?
-
Allen swings at three high pitches and once again, no one but the man in black knows what the f'n strike zone is. Crap
-
Yikes. Not a promising first
-
I'm always hesitant to do this but bench ****ing tanner. Can't play defense then you better ****kng not swing at shit in your ****ong eyes. We are losing tonite. By all the bullshit by Skelton and Westburg last night LSU feels like they won and now we are letting them. Welcome to losing 2/3.
-
3-0 going to the top of the second. A hell of a lot of baseball up. We will be okay.

Seems like EVERY game lately we are giving our opponent 2, 3 or 4 runs in the first inning. We aren't going to keep getting away with that in the SEC. It was just the midweek guys but now Small and Ginn are doing it.
