It’s okay because LSU is going to get hammered. LSU is buying Watford this year. They bought Reid, Williams, and Days last year.

This is not in the cylinder.

It was not a goal tend.

If you look closely uk had a defensive goaltending first. Now I agree it was tougher to see, but Washington reaches through the basket and touched the rim. So there's that.

Sorry shotgun, but in college basketball the cylinder is upward to the roof. It doesn't have to be literally touching the rim. If there were replay and uk hadn't goal tended first, which I say they did, that basket doesn't count.

It would be simpler if they went to international rule that if it's not on the rim, it's good to touch. But that's not how it is at present.

Not sure what is going on with people tonight but the picture you have shows that clearly AT LEAST 1/3 of the ball is in the cylinder. The rule is if ANY part of the ball is in the cylinder its basket interference. If a defender grabbed the ball from that position LSU fans would have gone nuts. The rule is NOT that the ENTIRE ball must be in the cylinder. They just let a lot of it go these days because so much of basketball is played above the rim but that is CLEAR textbook offensive basket interference.

If I understand what was said, you can only review the time not the offensive goaltend but as a State fan they would of ruled it off

Correct, which took place right after the defensive goal tending. LSU wins. Bad call twice by the officials. Bet result, the correct team won

I don’t think a offensive goaltending is reviewable

Neither are reviewable. Offensive or defensive. So back to my original point
All the ref were looking at was did the shot get off. Period. Nothing else was reviewable

That clears it up for me. I see that shot and say "the ball is OUTSIDE the rim" (half of the ball). ANY part of the ball...got it.

It was sarcasm but if we tip that in some other rule comes under effect but then again offensive goaltending is called initially! Can’t believe LSU even got that call at Rupp

We actually agree more than you think!! Haha But if we tipped that against Kentucky or any other SEC school I bet offensive goaltending was called. No need for review then! That’s my pessimist view

Ha ha ha ha. Every commentator and talking head said it was offensive goal tending. Even the overhead camera angle provides indisputable video evidence.

As many times as we got screwed by bad calls playing them, I hope no one is feeling sorry for those 17ers whether it was a bad call or not.
