Great post IYOK, thanks for all you do for us.

Did anyone really think otherwise. It is a great town and school but it will always be a hard place to recruit to... We have to continue to have winning seasons and build off of that. It takes time to make a jump from middle of the pack to elite. It took Dabo quite a while in a much easier league to get Clemson to where they are.
Now I am in no way comparing us to Clemson, they have some built in advantages as well. We can be a consistently good team with a really good season here and there but we don't have to foot print yet to do it consistently. I don't understand why we have these same posts about being disappointed year after year. You know it is coming before it ever happens don't get so worked up over it. Enjoy the great seasons when we have them and support the program when we are down as that is when support is most needed.

It's not near my life either.
I look forward to moving on to 2020 as well, but I'm not sure if our coach has the "it factor" to get it done.

Being elite? Hell let's start with signing a full class.

Auburn is getting kicked in the nuts as well today.
They just lost George Pickens, probably the best WR in the country to Georgia. He had been committed to AU for what seems like a year.
They also lost out on Ladarrius Cox from Mobile to the bears.
They are not having a good day.

Moorhead signed a good OL & DL class and got his QB he wanted....Mullen literally did the exact same thing but some of us will flip absolute shit because they will finish ahead of us in imaginary computer rankings that are flawed. But carry on.
Moorhead is a good recruiter and will be better than Mullen ever was at it. Is he as good of a coach? Maybe not that is yet to be seen.

I think OM is back to cheating. The Cox commitment for them is odd. Something smells

Two best players in the state of AL went to Georgia. That's bad for the state of AL.

I don't think Moorhead is currently a good recruiter......hopefully he improves. With a historic year in Mississippi talent wise and OM still in the doldrums it is fair to expect a better result. We'll be lucky to sign 21 kids today including a kid whose best next best offer was Alcorn....let that sink in!

I think MSU's bigger issue than losing in-state recruits is our lack of brand to go outside the state & replace them.
You'll never lock down Mississippi or any state, but you've got to be able to leave the state & get good players.

From someone who has seen the difference, you can believe me or not, Moorhead is better and its not close. There's not much more we could have done (within the law) to get Mingo or anyone else.
The melt over a top 25 class is a little much no?

2020 will prove that because in state is very shallow in terms of talent. Alabama is ripe for picking because they are always deep. We've gotten a ton of good players from the state of Alabama.

Correct he is. Auburn just took 3 of the top 10 players in Mississippi. We'd have no chance of doing that in any other state
