This. And it shows you w all the work how tough it is to sign elite kids when you aren't a blue blood.

I really hope we get Jon, we need young men like him in the Bulldog family!

Yep no doubt about it. It's a tough road but I feel like we're on the right track but as you've said its a result oriented business.

Would we have gotten Ealy and Young if Huff and Baker would've stayed?
If so, it just shows you point blank hiw critical staff continuity is for us. The blue bloods recruit on brand but we have to recruit through relationships. Staff turnover destroys us.

I firmly believe if Baker had stayed Young is likely a Dawg

I just refuse to believe that the staff changes were the difference if we don't get these guys. Ealy and Mingo both committed to OM WITH Huff and Getsy here, Young committed to Bama and Moore decommitted from us WITH Baker still on staff. While the staff changes (except for maybe Johnson with Mingo) probably haven't helped much, I don't think they were going to be the difference in whether or not we got any of them.

Ealy I'm not sure on. Byron was leaning our way until baker left. However Byron knows deke well and likes him. Baker leaving us was a factor but Ultimately with Byron it was going out of state and playing for bama that was the major pull.
ETA Byron's parents love Saban so there's that

I'm going to say no on Ealy because he was committed to Ole Miss while Huff was our coach.
Young- yes I think we get him if Baker stays.
More than anything- I think we just had some shitty luck with certain things. Mainly talking about Charles Moore and just kind of everything else than one particular coach leaving.

If we don't get Moore I will be a bit ticked. Last week I was fine with not caring where he went because it sure appeared it definitely wouldn't be MSU. But if he wasn't going to come back in the fold I really don't understand pulling our coaches back in on him. Seems a large part of our staff spent most of last Thursday in Louisville with him and then hosted him this past Sunday in Starkville. That would be a lot of time wasted if he doesn't sign that we could have been spending elsewhere. Maybe he will sign with us in the end but if he pulled us back in again just to drop us again I will not be amused at the situation.

OM people saying we're getting Mingo. Take it for what it's worth, which isn't much

At the end of the day none of that matters.....the wins and losses are all on Moorhead, he either signs the recruits or he doesn?t, he either wins the games or he doesn?t...by noon tomorrow his first full year is in the books ...8-5 and a top ?? recruiting class

Won't bother me a bit. Sounds crazy but it won't. If he choose us I'll cheer him and hope he gets his shit together. That's all.

Dude on the spirit (not yancy) says he has a source almost as good as Mingo himself saying Mingo to State. May be full of shit, or may be trying to get our hopes up, but the rebs are having themselves a decent melt. Almost as bad as we have them lol

Us getting Will Roger's commitment, Coach Johnson, and then OM should be a more run oriented team sure hasn't helped the OM cause.

Mingo would be one hell of a pull. Moorhead should get major props if it works out. Need Moore to go with him

If we get the ones expected to sign tomorrow and add Mingo and Moore then I think we should all give Moorhead and staff a big pat on the back. That's about as good as we could have expected things to go. Heck, if we just get the expected ones plus Mingo I would not be unhappy.

We just got a preferred walk on commitment from a WR from MRA who apparently is good friends with Ealy
