We'll have a good idea. He'll be almost half way through is last semester of HS. And we wouldn't have let Bedford go if he wasn't likely to qualify.

This class was always going to be hard for Joe Mo. These kids had known Mullen for 2+ years and Joe had to come in during the last half of their junior year and try and keep the ones we had and recruit the ones we didn't all in less than a year.

Next year's class will be much easier for him to recruit because of familiarity. In case you haven't noticed though, we pulled a 4 star DL from Tennessee, flipped Cross from FSU, and have the QB of the future from Virginia. We locked down some solid in state talent and also went out of state to fill needs. We may not even lose James either. So I'm not sure why everyone is burning this thing down.
It's okay bro. It's only a few posters, most of us agree with you. The same douchebags are gonna complain about everything.

Probably because we have a historically good instate class, and we have been told that this staff is such an upgrade from the previous staff

So they were supposed to in less than one year flip all these kids? Guys it doesn't work like that.

It is blatantly obvious that the majority of people on this board don't work with kids. If you don't work with kids or don't have serious connections to the staff or the university, you probably don't know dick about recruiting. 95% of what you know is message board bullcrap or stuff you've heard other people say. If you aren't interacting with kids who are being recruited, you don't have a clue as to what really is important to kids.

That's why these staying at home posts or bashing our staff for losing kids to OM, Bama, and Auburn posts are dumb and ignorant. The majority of you just don't get how many factors play in to these decisions.

With that being said, I'm going to go watch one of my former students sign a LOI to play P5 football in about 50 minutes. He's still got a big decision to make on where he's going to play. Could be SEC. But having coached the kid and taught the kid, I at least have an understanding of why things happen the way they do. Trying to make recruiting simple to understand is impossible. That's why many of our fans don't get it and are ignorant about the fact that they don't know why things happen.

No, we wait til Feb to know. That was the whole damn point is saying he'd be halfway through his last semester. Your reading comprehension sucks as much as your takes.

5 weeks of school after Christmas is not going to provide any more clarity. That's what i get for engaging in a discussion with a poster named "Cooterpoot".

I work with kids, but they're not recruited.

It's the majority and you're right we're not in the same position as you to know all the details of recruiting and to be honest, I don't want to. We go off of information provided by insiders here on this board and others. Just like the preseason hype, we're not living up to expectations. Now were those expectations unrealistic, I can't answer that.

Go enjoy your former student sign his LOI. That's more important than a message board.

Good luck to your student athlete.

Nowhere in my post did I say anything about flipping anyone. In fact, it's our commitments that we are now worried about being flipped, as always. How long has Chad Morris been at Arkansas? I was simply explaining why certain posters are upset at the state or our recruitment.

Y'all need to drop this argument. His Dad has taken him to Starkville more than he has Oxford and they both love Moorhead.

They are going to do what's best for Will, they know the shape OM is in.

As much as I love State and as much as we are a 3rd Generation State fam, if State was in the shape that OM is in and Ole Miss was truly the best fit for my student athlete, I would want my kid to go where he is going to be successful. I love State, but I love my kids and family more. Hopefully, the majority of parents are this way.

Yeah - some people melting like we are having a 2016 Redux today. Whatever happens, nothing will ever top that shitfest.
"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""

Technically yes. But we'll lose James and possibly Washington in February
