Moorhead and Huff both were heavily involved in his recruitment.
I believe he is appealing to play immediately

Yes that is what D Wolken said in USA Today article
Fields, from Kennesaw, Ga., just outside of Atlanta, arguably will be the most highly coveted transfer in all of college football. He is expected to appeal to the NCAA to be eligible this season.

Not landing cam may have cost us our first natty in any sport. Is this quantum leap to right what once went wrong?

Especially when the appeal wouldn't be answered pre-draft declaration

Not if he isn?t projected in the first 10-15 picks.

I didn’t say he was but he is considering it. I’m sure he is waiting to see what kind of feedback he gets. The DL class is strong this year. He would be a top 5 picks most years but this year may fall to almost 15...maybe even lower. If he stays would he be a top 5 pick next year? I don’t know. Maybe that extra 5-10 million is important to him. Plus, he’s shown to not be injury prone so maybe he takes his chances. Is coming back for one year for a potential 5-10 million dollar payday while risking possible injury foolish? I don’t know. Guess we will see.

I wonder how long it takes Fields to decide?
Could be a huge boost going into Wednesday if it’s quick

Hurts in 2019 while Fields redshirts. Then Fields for 3 years. **

I am still not a fan of players having to declare. I say let all Juniors be eligible for draft. If teams want them, they will have to take them early enough where it is worth it. If not, player can return. Or better yet, if you do declare and do not get drafted, you can return to school.

Can't imagine being that quick, but could help us in February

Gotta see if Kirby wants be be naughty or nice to Saban here. He can't block it, but you got to think he'll provide some input to the process.

What could be fields' grounds on immediate eligibility? He's from Georgia

I’ll believe it when I see it in ink

I don't know if I've ever seen anyone transfer away from home and be eligible immediately.

Take it FWIW but there is a guy on other board that says he has a relative that coaches at same hs where Fields went and he is saying it's a done deal to State... I suspect that might be a troll but who knows
