Could be but most of the time these profiles actually list them taller than they actually are. That being said his profile may not have been updated for a year or so and he may actually be taller. He's apparently a very smart young man, who plays 7A football in alabama, hope he's a sleeper and turns out like some of our others. We seem to have more success with the lower rated OL's than the higher rated ones.

In the last 5 cycles we have recruited 2 low rated guys that turned out great (Calhoun .796, Jenkins .81). The lowest rated guy was a bust (Cochran .76). Our highest rated is now in the NFL (Rankin .91). Other highly rated guys have done well for us (D. Williams .88, S. Reese .88). I expect Dolla Bill (.90) will do well also.

Yep you are right about that. I guess i was thinking back to the Jake Thomas, Kent Flowers, Damien Robinson days and then the lower rated guys that turned out way better than those types.

Don't forget Joey Trapp. I think Damien Robinson was rated a 5 star at one time. I also think Champion was a 4 star coming out of high school.

I wonder if he's really taller than 6'4". On his HUDL account, he list himself as 6'5"

Robinson was a 4 star and Champion was a 3 star....nobody is suggesting that the rating system is a perfect indicator of production but it would be great to land a 4 star recruit like Cross in every class

Yeah if we could add some legitimate blue chippers to the successful developmental OL's we have had, would be great!

That's true...I was assuming Williams would give the draft a look...maybe not. With all of the recent offers out at OL, how many do ya'll think we take in December? As many as 6 -7?

5-7 sounds right , I still think if we can land Cross and one more guy high on the board we will cut bait with Richardson.

Give me a couple weeks to think about it. Some guys we are doing well with are Charles Cross, Luke Griffin, Nick Pendley, Dawond Jones & I'm sure we'll keep some other guys on the board. Really only need 2 more but 1 of them really needs to be Cross.

I just don't believe he will stay. He's a top 3 OG nationally and some have listed him as #1. Plays in the SEC West...I expect to lose him.
