Off topic but still responsive to the thread branch, the door switch on our dryer broke a couple weeks ago. They first thing the repairman said when he walked in was "they don't make them like that any longer". I don't know how old the dryer is, but just a guess I'd say 15 years. This is the first problem we've had with it, and now that I saw him do the repair, I could easily do it myself - one screw at the lint screen opening and two for the switch itself (but I tend to screw things up when I try to fix them myself). Don't know what the part costs, but the total charge was $206.
Damn. You got screwed 3 times for $206!!! Ha ha. Probably $6 in parts. $200 labor. Everybody seems to put the screws to you these days!!
