Currently 7-5. Should be able to recover the next 2 weeks. Don't like us having to face lsu 2nd half of season bc they will figure it out. 4 tough series in a row after SC. I say 15-15

Agree as far as national seed that ship is about to take up anchor.

We'll still be ranked in the top 10 (potentially top 7) on Monday and have lots of winnable games left. We are nowhere close to "we'll be lucky even host" territory.
Now if we lose the series next week to Tennessee, then yes we may be in trouble.

Need to win 7 or 8 in the next 3 series.

We are 2-5 in 1 run/extra inning games, accounting for 5 of our 7 losses. This is a clear sign that we've probably been a bit unlucky.

Just need 8 SEC wins from the next 18 to make a regional.
Next weekend Tennessee Vols, new umpires, and maybe the batting can be adjusted. A team that got swept by Vandy. Should do much better.
UGA hitters will crush a mistake into the stands, other teams will just get a line drive single.

I've definitely lost some confidence in this team. Our offense is not nearly as good as I thought it was earlier in the year and we have a major issue at catcher plus being down McPherson. I thought we were definitely going to be a Top 8 seed type team but not so sure of that now.

Worst case 17-13 (such as 2/3 at home and against SC and 1/3 in the other 2) but I bet it's more like 20-10.

20-10 is a national seed... like top 4-5.

Yeah, that's where I expect to end up, and that's where the metrics and experts would likely put us too.

Think of it this way - imagine a team that's ranked #4 in football that loses a home game to the #5 team, not a blowout or an embarrassment, but one where they make silly mistakes and their stars just didn't execute. Does that mean their season is over? Does that mean that the voters will severely punish them in the rankings? No.
Now if they also lose the next week to an unranked team at home, then suddenly there's some big concerns. But assuming we bounce back, I don't see any reason why we can't expect to still be a top 8 national seed.

Losing McPherson really hurt us this weekend. No one is talking about it but Sweeney really to me cost us this game as much as anything. He has to pitch better. He was horseshit today. We scored five runs and usually that is enough. It's hard to hit when umpires are calling balls strikes. That's why we look "tentative" sometimes. Umpires were ass all weekend and I hope we complain to the SEC and this crew doesn't do any of our games the rest of the year. They absolutely affected the outcome of this series in a negative way. They're the poster boys why fans want ABS. I didn't even think their catcher framed it that well. He scooped everything and they bought it every single ****ing time. I would love to see the reports from our tech on how the umpires did this weekend. Too bad someone from MSU doesn't leak that. I'm sure it was CB Bucknor bad.

Yeah, I don't know about that. What metric is predicting us to win 13/18 the rest of the way? I mean, that's .722 winning %, and we're currently at .583.

No doubt, if we go 13-5 the rest of the way we are definitely a national seed although I'm pretty skeptical of us being able to do that

Stallman would be the only one I would sit personally. I don't trust Raymond defensively. Who knows how long Teel will be out? Ace may be struggling but he's still contributing. Just because he isn't white hot it doesn't mean we sit him. Noah is going to have to sit a game I guess unless there is some rule that you have to sit out longer for multiple ejections within a specific time frame that I don't know about.

I would be shocked. Good thing is we don't have to be anywhere close to that to host a regional.
