Year 1: Awful
Year 2: Awful
Year 3: Awful with new IL record
Year 4: Awful
Year 5: Awful
Year 6: Awful
Year 7: Team of destiny

Going back to 86 this is pretty accurate give or take a year.

00: Lost WS
06: Lost NLCS; 07: collapsed only like the Mets know how
15: Lost WS
22: These mfs.

That's a crazy cycle they seem to be going through. I really hated the A's of the early 70's and I was pulling so hard for the Mets in '73, they let me down. My grandfather was a good friend of Jerry Koosman. They became friends when they both wound up stuck at a small airport during some bad weather and shared their love of flying. They flew together quite a bit after that.

I'm sorry man, lol! I was a big Brooks Robinson/Jim Palmer fan back then and the A's kept them from winning more rings!

Ok - that's an acceptable reason. Brooks and Boog were two of my Dad's favorites - as was Earl Weaver.

Yes they are. We'll see how the hold up over 162. I expect a good race... I like the Mets pitching, but I think the braves lineup will be much better

I wouldn't mind seeing what Waters can do. Travis is someone that you can send back down and call back up if needed and he can do a decent job filling in.
