Ben Davis pitches six strong innings: 1 ER, 1H, 4K. 40 strikes, 17 balls.
-
Hunter with a double to left center. That's the second one he's placed there this weekend. I do believe he's found a stroke.

Queens narrowly escapes getting run ruled B7. For the moment anyway. Dawgs lead 10-1 after 7.
-
Mikhai Grant rebounds after a leadoff walk, retires the next three. Mid 8th: 10-1. Dawgs get another chance to end it.

The zen master said, we will see.

He always seems to need a couple of batters before he finds the strike zone. May be tough to bring him into a tight situation in SEC games. Almost need a clean inning for him to start.

I'm merely an eternal optimist.

He's only pitched a few innings but, yes, he needs to limit the walks before we can trust him in a tight game.

According to Lemonis Cupp is fine. Just bruised up some and sore.

Only complaint about today is using McPherson. We may need him to bail out Ligon tomorrow. Although they may be starting him in Biloxi next week too. So maybe there is a plan I don't know about there.
I like the way we are playing overall though. Got to clean up some things here and there but nothing major.

He pitched like Greg Maddux but with higher velocity today. Definitely earned another start.

If we can't beat Queens without McPherson tomorrow, we've got bigger problems. I'd expect Pruitt to go Tuesday and start next Sunday possibly. I trust Parker more than any body on this staff.

Truth here.

Queens isn't a good team, so I don't want to get too optimistic but things "appear" to be slowly coming together a little. Still see problems but hope the problems aren't greater than the positives. We find out next weekend.

We will continue to rotate the corner OF guys. They all deserve to play.
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

More about trying to line McPherson up with a potential Sunday start than anything.

Good problem to have. I would like to see Reeves take over at second base because he is our best defensive second baseman but he has to hit.

Great defender but something off with his swing. Appears to be a timing issue to me

I don’t mind him in the line up, just not at leadoff… I don’t like the constant diff line ups. I understand it, but I hate it… We have to find a lead off guy. Hell put Col Sanders there and see what he does.
