I'm all for dropping to #69. Would be more accurate and appropriate.
If only you were this positive about our football program.
I think our football team hit its peak in 2014. If we couldn't beat a down bama team while having an nfl qb, I just don't see us ever breaking through. I was very upset with Moorhead bc I felt he had a 10-win team and butchered it. I was upset with leach at first, but I've relaxed a ton after the auburn game. I feel leach can get us consistent 7-win seasons with hopefully a 9-10 win one every now and then.
On basketball, I feel like we have some untapped potential, so I wanna see us break through some. I thought this year was gonna be a tourney year, and it's very disappointing that we look to be out. My expectations for basketball are to be a bubble team every year, but make it half the time. Howland isn't getting it done
Question for you. Since our O shooting sucks and sucks bad esp 3s would you take Marshall Henderson?
Yep
Now would you hire Henderson to do nothing but teach how to shoot 3s and how to get into the minds of your opponent and really screw with them
This basketball program peaked a long time ago! Way before 2014!
Will never get over 2018. I just hate Moorhead so much. That team could have won the SEC and had Mullen stayed that year we very well could have.
Had Moorhead offense just been average we win 10 games easy.
Talent wise, that was and will be MSUs best roster ever.
We have to win our last 3 SEC games. Period. Then we have to win at least 1 in the SEC Tourney- probably 2.
If we lose 1 of the last 3 SEC games- then it's NIT unless we win the SEC Tourney
So as an NIT 2 seed how many home games do we get? Asking for about 300-400 fans.
I wonder if NET weights a high Q3 win almost a much as a low Q2 win. Curious bc vandy is right on the line
We might beat Vandy today at home but it will unfortunately probably be the last win of the year unless we sneak into the NIT. Our seeding will be too low to win an SEC tournament game on a neutral court. We might be able to beat UGA, Mizzou, Ole Miss, Vandy or aTm on a neutral court but none of the top 8 teams and we will probably be the 9 seed.
This a Great Article from BoneYard that Nails IT. (IT = Change Coming) Little Ladies stuff thrown in too..

Still at #52. Interestingly though, vandy moved up to #75, so we picked up a Q2 win. Our final 2 opponents: auburn #11, at aTm #66. Win these 2 Q1 games, and we make it imo. Much easier said than done.
mstate7, you are a glutton for punishment my guy, but I admire the passion. You must be younger than me...I remember when I was able to bounce back like that, now I'm old enough to know what's coming and look the other way lol
BPI chances:
Auburn - 40%
aTm - 46.6%
Chance of winning both - 18.6%
We were done with that ugly South Carolina loss.
Yep. We blew every opportunity in the middle of our SEC schedule. Once we did that we are dead to the committee. They essentially make their mind up and its a huge uphill battle after that. Even if we beat Auburn, we are probably still another big win away from serious consideration.
Can I make an early game prediction. We will go 5-6 minutes to open the game and score 2-4 points, falling behind by double digits at half. We will come out 2nd half, close the gap, and take the lead with about 8 minutes remaining. We will again go on a scoring famine, and lose by 6.
