The rebs have got to be well on their way. They are a national embarrassment and it isn't over yet.
I believe when the escorts for recruits is uncovered there will be a serious discussion.

Escorts for recruits or for people in position to influence recruits, on top of everything else would lead to that type of conversation. Don't just be thinking recruits specifically.
I honestly think they are very close now.
If it turns into a federal sex trafficking case with coaches, boosters and admin trying to cover it up then they are royally 17ed. I believe the SEC would hold a vote at that point.
If they prove Freeze was buying hookers for recruits (some underage), then that discussion just may be had. That would be institution sanctioned statutory rape.
Death Penalty = Ole Miss probably kicked out
Otherwise no. There's no one available to replace them with as long as the ACC/Big 12 GoR contracts are in effect (2024) anyway.
It would have to be bad. Like having multiple sports on probation bad. Improper benefits out the ying yang bad. Academic fraud bad. Coaches banging hookers bad.
Recruits, players, boosters, alumni and coaches all getting the pipe cleaning and lube special from Detroit/Memphis/Nashville/Tampa unit restoration.
NO, no.... and no.... I'll let y'all know if this changes after the next REC meeting with MDL....
ps-y'all don't want OM booted. especially now... this whole affair will be wasted for you guys without them in conference.
Please, please, please, for the love of God, stop these threads. Ole Miss is not getting kicked out of the conference. Ever. For anything. Just like Baylor isn't going anywhere in the Big 12.
Every time we post these, I cringe. It makes us look so pathetic and desperate.
dude, chill... no one here actually believes that is even a remote possibility.... they just "dreamin'."....
how's BeanTown treatin' ya, daddio?
That's what it would take
You bring up an interesting twist I baby thought of. If another school with a better pedigree, especially one that expanded the media footprint, showed interest that might give an extra nudge.
I think that as long as OM is costing the SEC money they are fine. They are costing themselves tens of millions of dollars but the other SEC schools could care less about that.
Having them reduced to the Vandy of the 70's and 80's will be enough. If we can't put distance between us and them under those circumstances then we are the ones who have the issues.
No school will ever be removed from the SEC.
Lol, stupid posts like this ^^^^ make me laugh. This mindset and thought process basically means that there are no (zero, nada, none, zilch) number of rules that can be broken or violated that would cost a school their spot at the table. That is just plain laughable and so short-sighted.
If Freeze Bjork and Vitter were actually the pimps running the prostitution ring, still wouldn't get kicked out of SEC. How many times in P5 CFB history has a school been kicked out of their conference for breaking rules?
How many times have illegal recruiting benefits, an academic scandal, and a Bible-verse-spouting head football coach who's banging hookers collided in a perfect storm of ineptitude and corruption? That's never happened. Not even in the SEC.
You'd have to combine Jimmy Swaggert, SMU, Miami, and North Carolina to even get close.
OM will be so slimy and radioactive the SEC might have to think about giving them the boot.
SEC sports is a multi-billion dollar business. Ole Miss can and will most definitely get booted from the SEC if this gets as bad as it's looking like its about to get. If you got the AD, the athletic department and big-time boosters willingly knowing they are hiring a sexual predator to be their head coach and then instructing said predator to hire hookers for recruits, players, coaches, alumni and boosters on OM's dime Ole Miss is going to get nuked to the core. Just like the civil war it's about to be 100% casualty rate for that school all over again. History has a tendency to repeat itself. Oklahoma taking Ole Miss spot is looking pretty damn tempting for everyone right now. You go from the smallest populated state having two schools to just one which will still keep all the cable dollars for MS to adding an entire different state and all their cable dollars to replace OM. Oh and Oklahoma has a top ten football history. It's a no-brainer.
