If Arch Manning has that much talent and is hell bent on going to OM it could be an option I suppose, but I don't see that happening. Matt Luke went to OM as a walk-on when he had other options for that reason when OM had recruiting sanctions.

They're going to want the splash of getting him. And that's another reason why a lot of guys won't walk-on in general. They won't get "their day" to announce and be part of a signing class like the rest of their friends.
Not to mention less incentive for Alabama to not process you if you are a walk-on. APR and things like that factor in.
