Let me put it another way. He played point the way Malik Newman played point in high school.

Something is wrong with Q, I don't know if it's a gf problem, or diarrhea..but it's something.
Hail State!
No leadership. A whole lot of talent. Next year can't get here soon enough.
We are already the 2nd youngest team in the country with Nick, Ado, and Brooks coming in next year. Do you really think all these guys stay? There aren't enough shots to go around already and no one seems to want to play D, be a role player, or play as a team.
So are we gonna be an average team next year?
I wouldn't be surprised if Kylin redshirts. I'm not that guy. I've seen Nick play numerous times including AAU ball which is not shit competition. He is an alpha dog, UNC offer, legit PG. I will be shocked if he isn't starting but I know for sure he will be playing 30 a game.
Nick is not going to play 30 mins per game. He is going to rotate with Peters, his brother, and Carter. There isnt 30 mins per game to be had between those 4. And we will also give mins to Wright.
Thats what is going to happen next year. Peters and Q...then Nick and Carter....with some Wright mixed in
So we've lost what, 6 of our last 8 with little hope against our remaining opponents?
It's pretty simple. It's a very young team and no leaders have developed naturally. When IJ went down, there went our one true leader on the court. It's going to be really frustrating like this until he gets back this year. I hate it for him because with him we have three more wins and would have had a legit shot to get to 20 wins this year.
Announcers on the Cal/Arizona game are being openly critical of the refs. Seems to be a nationwide trend.
I think Nick or Peters will lead or I also think Q will lead as well since he will be a junior and finally an upperclassman. Q is a true sophomore after all and it takes time for leaders to develop. I think Q will take the Thornwell trajectory and will be here all four years. Thornwell sure as shit didn't lead as a sophomore and didn't have to lead as a junior.
We just need maturity. The talent is finally here.
I'm trying to be patient with this young team. I just don't understand making the same mistakes over and over throughout every game. All that silly passing and losing opportunities to score over and over.
Because they are freshmen and sophomores. Peters keeps making the same mistakes over and over because A) he is an emotional player and he thinks he can take it himself at times or B) he makes the right pass but Herard muffs the pass and turns it over on the inside. Q makes mistakes because he tries too hard instead of letting the game come to him. He is still learning. Carter/Wright are making mistakes because they haven't been given a lot of minutes on top of being freshmen. Kegler has made huge strides this year but still makes boneheaded plays like the T the other night. Stapleton hasn't played organized basketball in two years and isn't fully healthy on top of being a sophomore playing wise. And on top of all this our steady senior point guard has been out the past four games of which we are 1-3 in his absense. We have talent. We are trending up; however just too much youth and inexperience to overcome our obstacles at the moment.
Bold projection... by the end of next seasion, q won't be a starter...
Peters
Nick
Kegler
Holman
Herard
Why does Cal/Arizona get a much better and more competent announcing crew than SC/MSU?
People need to chill on Q. He's a sophomore who is having to deal with SEC teams game planning to stop him for the first time. He is naturally laid back and doesn't like to force the action.
Everyone assumed he was ready because he became our best player last year...but last year's team wasn't good. He's a very good player who was forced into the 'go-to' role, not because he was ready for it.
He will be fine. He is not struggling because of the wrist, that's crazy.
Is Herard hurt on one or both hands? He has gotten really bad lately handling passes and has cost us 6-14 points a game.
Is the Ole Miss women's coach the long lost son of Frank Martin? They both have those wild ass eyes!
