That kid threw with basically zero effort. Nice talent to come in.
Until we hire a new staff, this is as good as it gets. Our talent isn't as good as a TN team that had no program 5 years ago. We keep screwing up our lineup and struggle with the bats.
Pretty fun time in Hoover considering our slump we were in. Nice job by the pitchers. Get some rest and get an edge to you.
The reason why Tony V is 8-0 against Lemon in the last 8 is bc he is a relentless recruiter.

We need to use Campbell's offensive philosophy. Need to grind out AB's and focus on getting on base and causing havoc and then the power will come with it.

They're not that much better than we are. We just don't maximize and develop the talent we actually have on offense. It's not like they blew us out or anything tonight. We lost the game because our second baseman who should be our DH made a poor decision trying to do too much and they stole a cheap run.Quote:

Outside of a Super in Knoxville, I think all other matchups would be toss ups. MSU is a nightmare matchup. Even today, MSU matched UTK #1 with the Midweek guy.
Really? I think those and Hines definitely would. He's a top 150 draft prospect. I'm sure they would like to have Stephen, Loo, Dohm, Auger, Davis, and maybe Hardin from the pitching staff. Those guys would be regulars somewhere on the pitching staff.Quote:

We also don't really know how Lemonis really feels about the situation with Gautreau. Lemonis inherited him more or less. So I don't think they're exactly tied to the hip. If guys keep struggling and we get bounced out of a regional or SR because of it he might make a move. I'm sure Lemonis has some of the same frustrations we all do with things with the offense.
