I agree. Collins will prove any naysayers wrong (and there are only a few naysayers anyway, they're fools). Besides, he may not ever have to catch a Lindgren type pitcher ever again. A guy with that much of a lack of control, combined with the movement all of his pitches had.....I bet that was tough as hell.

Collins is going to be a ridiculous stud. Once he becomes adequate at blocking pitches, is gunning down everybody, and hitting .350+ with some pop and goes 1st or 2nd round in the draft, we're going to be wondering how in the world we replace a C like that.
MLB Network was talking about Lindgren possibly being the first player from this draft making it to MLB and helping out the Yankees bullpen this year.
Also showed some highlights of him mowing down some hitters from Ole Miss.

The Tampa Bay Rays are now on the clock.
And to be fair, we got used to him missing some Lindgren pitches, so he got blamed for several late in the year that Pudge Rodriguez wouldn't have blocked in his prime. Lindgren would throw that filthy slider about 12 feet short of the plate at times, and everybody looked at Collins. I bet catchers look like abuse victims after catching Lingo a few innings

I know some people may not like the Yankees, but having a MSU player pitching for them is good for MSU as much as ESPN talks about them and the National exposure that they get.
