We will be depending on unproven players to play a huge role. Someone will actually be required to start at DT who has taken no snaps at the position (other than the 4 redshirt games). He was ranked #27 back in November 2017. Then in December there was a lot of chatter he might commit to us. He jumped to the 70s. In February he commits to us and boom. He jumps into the 80's. Then progressively over the next year he hovers in the high 90s and low 100's. He decommits from us and all of a sudden he's now #62 overall. This is a prime example of why we shouldn't chase recruiting stars. We've (myself included) gotten wrapped up into the evaluation system of these sites to the point that we don't acknowledge the evaluation done by our staff (the ones being paid to recruit).Quote:
