Haha. Ridiculous.
We've officially reached silly season.

I am sure that I have read everything Steve has posted and I have NOT seen any number like 80-85 % anywhere. It may have been discussed in chat, but I have not read this. Anyone else to help either me or Mr. maroonmania out on this? Even Paul has only been 50-50. That's far from being confident in my mind.
See here is two recent issues many have with helping MSU and it concerns Gene's pages. Devinner and Brandon Bryant. At times when it comes down to helping the school and reporting responsibility vs themselves, they choose themselves. How times has he leaked info on a kid that had asked to withhold the info? Things like that hurts us much more than what is posted here. I don't bash Steve like many others. Actually talk with him from time to time. But he has done some questionable things that Paul would never even consider doing.
He's been in the business a while. If you're in the messing game of recruiting in any way, you are going to make some mistakes. Steve also has a responsibility to his paid subscribers. Let me also add, that he is one of the few to report publicly about this Ole Miss investigation. He is taking a lot of crap for it, but hasn't backed down. I hope he and his info get validated.
I don't question his work ethic, certainly don't question that he runs a camp(s) although I don't like it how he sometimes portrays those camps as the vehicle for "exposure" to players who college and JUCO coaches wouldn't know "who they were" if it weren't for the good ol' Sherriff, that he watches video, or has a show and a website.
I do question that he is more knowledgeable. Personally, I think Paul is more knowledgeable, but the difference is he knows when to shut the hell up and he doesn't try to make it look like he knows everything that is going on. And he doesn't hold personal vendettas against quality players to the point where he makes it look like the player isn't worth taking at MSU knowing that a lot of our fans are going to echo what he says.
I mean- he basically tried to run off Brandon Bryant because Bryant didn't tell him he was going on an OV to USM. And then without talking to any of our coaches stated that Bryant's scholarship had been pulled. And then he states that he was thankful because he really like JT Gray better and now he had a spot in the class- which our coaches somehow miraculously got both in the same class which I'm 99% sure was their real plan all along. And finally after the whole mess- he was never wrong the whole the time.
And then last year he basically bashed Kentavious Thomas I guess because he liked Alec Murphy better or something stupid like that. He was "right" but I didn't like how he handled it.
And now you have this with AJ. Every year it's something with at least one recruit where he makes it a pain in the ass for our coaches.
Devinner wasn't just a mistake like missing where a player goes. That is totally different and as a MSU site they had no business dealing with him. Bryant deal wasn't just letting it out where he was, he posted erroneous info about a scholly being pulled. I'm sorry that goes beyond a simple missed call and it has a negative impact on us. Sorry I don't buy that at all. Now I agree he has up front and kept UNM stirred up over the investigations. Kudos for him and hope he keeps it up.
Disagree on him being the most knowledgable about where recruits go. Paul's track record for several years now has been better. Partially because he doesn't jump out to be first and waits until he has good info. Steve's self-service shows up there as well. I know he has a business but Paul is not lacking subscribers by any stretch. And he doesn't have to do like Steve to get it.
Listen to this interview by Steve on out of bounds, he certainly thinks AJ is Bama's to lose, and that is being generous.

I just noticed that 247 that Raekwon Davis has been switched back to bama. Did I miss where he officially switched back?
If that is the case something doesn't add up from rosebowls end. If we aren't recruiting the local guys hard then who the hell have we been recruiting since they are a 1/5th of the class and we have had half the class committed for a while? Just makes you figure the staff has a plan (we all hope).
I doubt very seriously there is any complacency with the local guys.
One, they are in our backyard and Mullen said he wanted to put an emphasis on MS kids.
And two, they are all our highest rated players that we wanted from the beginning and now at the end.
Sooo... Is farrar going to Oklahoma this weekend?
Word is that Freeze may have slept over at Simmons' house last night.
Is Kenny turnier gonna stick with Oregon state?
Im pretty sure Cohen would basically have this attitude:

I think we get Turnier if we give a committable offer. Surely we're waiting on all the other guys first I would think. And how in the hell do you spell committable? From what I've read, Cushenberry's mom wants him at State due to distance. We better figure something out with the local 4 if we really need to. Hopefully they're all locked in and just enjoying visits and we're planning for a signing day splash with them. Which is something I'm not sure we've ever had.
Few interesting CBs...
Jc schurburtt -- knott to bama
Bout 5 different guys -- Derrick brown to auburn
Paul jones -- hankerson to state... I don't have a paid subscription to 247, but I'm guessing this means Paul thinks farrar gone
Sticking with the constanza theme...
"Yeah, I'm a great quitter. It's one of the few things I do well. I come from a long line of quitters. My father was a quitter, my grandfather was a quitter... I was raised to give up."
I'm bout ready to just give up on football recruiting '16 edition
