I am good friends with Steve Farrar, Zach's father. Steve and I have known each other for about three years and had offices next to each other for about two. We talked about Zach's recruitment all the time, including yesterday, and again this morning for over an hour. Steve told me that Stoops and Riley will be in the house tomorrow evening. Mississippi State is coming to visit again sometime this week hoping to keep Zach from going to Norman next weekend for an official visit? Not going to happen....he's going!
Someone at OU, maybe Cale, dropped the ball in his recruitment as he rarely heard from the OU coaches during the fall, even as Zach put up terrific receiving numbers for Southlake, one of the premier high school programs here in the Dallas metroplex. I have seen Zach play, he is a exceptional athlete/wide receiver, a great baseball player, sprinter, dedicated workout guy, and a great student with outstanding test scores.
The family has always wanted Zach to go to OU! Zach's girlfriend is going to enroll at OU next fall! The family is truly very excited to get the OU offer, even this late in the process. Sounds like Stoops/Riley can 'close the deal' tomorrow evening!!?
This doesn't sound good....
